FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PASDU Announces Limerence, an Album About Desire, Identity, and Reconstruction
SAULT STE MARIE, ONTARIO — PASDU will release Limerence on AUGUST 1st, 2026, a deeply personal concept album about the dangerous intimacy between desire and identity. The album approaches limerence as more than romantic fixation: it is the longing to become real through another person’s attention. Queer and trans embodiment, creative paralysis, old trauma, and the need to be seen converge in a world where connection can feel both sustaining and consuming. As intimacy absorbs more of the self, numbness begins to resemble safety—even as it threatens to erase the person it was meant to protect.
At its core, Limerence is also an album about reconstruction. Rather than promising a return to an original, undamaged self, PASDU embraces identity as something deliberately assembled from memory, contradiction, desire, and survival. The album ultimately imagines a form of intimacy in which vulnerability can coexist with boundaries and surrender does not require disappearance. It offers neither perfect healing nor complete detachment; instead, the attachment survives as creative material. Limerence begins with the desire to be authored by another person and concludes with the decision to become the author.
Limerence will be available on AUGUST 1st, 2026 through VIOLENT ROSE on all major streaming platforms.
